Walking

Walking is one of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to get around - it’s great for your health, free of charge, and good for the planet. Whether you’re heading to the shops, catching the bus, or just enjoying some fresh air, walking is an easy way to fit exercise into your day.

There’s a pavement running directly from the site along the Cornish Bank, adjacent to Hillhead Road, offering an accessible walking link. Around 75 metres from the Hillhead Road and Kergilliack Road junction, another pavement on the southern side connects to the wider footpath network via Union Corner, which includes safe crossing points.

For longer walks or countryside strolls, several Public Rights of Way are nearby. Route 202/3/3 links Penryn to Hillhead Road, while a scenic path network from Lower Kergilliack Cottage to Bickland Hill (routes 202/1/4 to 204/57/2) offers beautiful walking options.
